Southbank & City
Your initial counselling session will begin with meeting Natalie outside of Under The Clock Cafe* in South Brisbane. It is here that you will discuss the Counselling Agreement, what you hope to gain from counselling, and what river walk you would like to take. Under The Clock Cafe is centrally located between three potential walks: Southbank Parklands, the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, and The Cliffs Boardwalk**. After this initial meeting, you will then spend the rest of the session walking with Natalie along the river.

All counselling sessions cost $120.00. This can be paid by card via Square.

Under The Clock Cafe can be found in the base of the former South Brisbane Municipal Chambers; an elegant, Heritage Listed building. The building is located centrally between the Mater and the bottom end of Southbank (see map).

To learn more about this beautiful building and cafe, you can visit their website here.

Alternatively, we can meet at Southbank Train Station in the outdoor sitting area near McDonald's.

After meeting at the cafe, if you chose Southbank, we will make our way into the Parklands via The Arbour, a beautiful promenade covered in colourful bougainvillaeas. From here we will meander down to the river's edge, and continue our walk in full view of the Brisbane River. As we walk north there are wonderful views of Brisbane City across the river, as well as several of Brisbane's well-known bridges (click here to view the map).

Please bear in mind that Southbank is a very popular destination for locals and tourists and that the path may be full of people.

After meeting at the cafe, if you chose the Botanic Gardens, we will make our way into the gardens via The Goodwill Bridge, a wonderfully designed footbridge that crosses the river. From here we will take the Bunya Walk around the edge of the Botanic Gardens, where we will not only see the river but also beautiful trees and greenery (click here to view the map).
On this walk, there are plenty of spaces to sit and admire the nature around you, and although there are often people about there is generally enough space for reflection.

After meeting at the cafe, if you chose The Cliffs, we will make our way onto the boardwalk simply by crossing the road. From here we will amble along the river and delight in all of the interesting sights that this walk offers. The Cliffs themselves are a fantastic sight to behold, as are the multiple angles that you can view the city. There is also a fantastic view of The Goodwill Bridge from a distance, and The Captain Cook Bridge as we approach and walk under it (click here to view the map).

The Cliffs Boardwalk, although a busy path, has plenty of greenery and places to stop for quiet reflection.
